Katherine Hynes is an Australian-American actress, voice over artist, and TV presenter based in Sydney, Australia.
Katherine came to professional acting after successful careers as a Sydney radio announcer and journalist (2WS, 2SM, 2KY), television presenter (Channel Ten’s Property Hotspots, The Travel Channel’s Life In Pacifica) and award winning TV documentary maker (Purple Haze, Santas Wanted, Goodbye Meat Pie).
As a talented communicator she’s held spokesperson roles for Telstra Bigpond and The Telegraph Mirror’s Teleclassifieds, and has provided the voice over for more than a hundred radio and TV commercials.
By 2006 Katherine had acted in independent films, mini-series, television (eg Home and Away, All Saints) plus numerous television commercials. At this time, she and her director husband Ian Stevenson relocated to Los Angeles USA with their then two young children.
Katherine’s break into the US acting market came when she booked the role of an English flight attendant in a Becks beer commercial. US film and TV credits followed including Donation, Empress Vampire, Mystery ER, and Long Flat Balls 2 (with Karate Kid and Pink Panther 2 director Harald Zwart). In the equally competitive US TV commercial market, Katherine has booked multiple national and international spots (eg Panasonic, Wal-Mart, Franklin Templeton Investments, Sunsweet).
Katherine Hynes is Sag eligible, has dual Australian / US citizenships and can travel on Australian or US passports. She is available for work internationally.
